Cyber Security

The Cyber Security Service provides interested members with robust cyber security. Designed to provide specialized information security talent and implement multiple layers of protection.

Available to all member utilities, participating members can choose to add the following layers of security to their network:

  1. Perimeter security with next-generation firewall(s) with intrusion prevention and active updates managed by WPPI Energy. (Fits best with 30 end-users or less.)
  2. Advanced end-point protection on PCs with behavior-based detection.
  3. Anti-phishing campaigns to improve staff awareness of malicious emails.

Through this service and, by working together through joint action, members can improve their security posture at a cost that is competitive to market alternatives.

 

Network Assessment & Monitoring

Members have access to network support, review and assessment to ensure their networks reliable, secure and ensure business continuity. Assistance performing routine maintenance tasks required to maintain a reliable computer network is provided.

Assistance performing routine maintenance tasks required to maintain a reliable computer network is provided.  Also, a full range of network consulting, specification development, pricing, installation and documentation is available for member local networks.  Services are provided as needed and can be scheduled by direct contact with WPPI staff or by logging a work order through the Support Center.

The Member Network Support Service provides a full range of network consulting, specification development, pricing, installation and documentation for member local networks.

Services are provided as needed and can be scheduled by direct contact with staff or by logging a work order through the WPPI Support Center.

 

 

User Security Training

End user cyber security training is available for member utility staff via two options. The first option is web-based user training available thru the Cyber Security service. The web-based training is updated annually and may be completed individually on a flexible schedule. The second option is classroom style training by WPPI Energy staff. Contact us to schedule a WPPI trainer to come onsite to your utility to train all staff in one classroom style session.
