Roll out CSR7

Technology Suite

WPPI Energy member utilities will soon have the newest NorthStar customer service module at their fingertips. Because of the planned switch to the upgraded NorthStar7, everyone using the customer information system will be able to transition to CSR7 by the end of August.

Utility staff who currently use NorthStar can register for the Aug. 6 webinar. The introductory learning session from 10:30-11:30 a.m. will provide information on what changes to expect and how it will affect day-to-day processes.

CSR7 is the first module of the upgraded system to be deployed. It improves customer service by providing better access to customer data and reducing training time. The modern interface provides resources for users working through processes in real time and stays updated with a cloud-based platform.

In the coming weeks, all participating utilities will begin working with WPPI staff to begin the sandbox phase. The test environment allows users to check out new features while learning more through mini training webinars. Sessions will be hosted by WPPI staff as a way for more onboarding to continue and for those learning the new system to ask questions as they are learning about it. Some WPPI member utilities are leading the rollout of this new system. WPPI members who were early adopters will provide guidance during these webinars.

Mini webinars include:

  • Aug. 18 – Searching, Tips & Tricks, Resetting Passwords, SkyDocs
  • Aug. 19 – Move Orders
  • Aug. 20 – Logged Calls, Service Orders
  • Aug. 21 – Enhancement Requests & Interim Solutions
  • Aug. 22 – Contact Management & Account Communications

The drop-in mini webinars will be held at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. on each date. They will not last longer than 30 minutes and will be recorded for reference. Attendees can gather more details through the WPPI events calendar and find daily call links in the Tech Suite User Center announcements.

WPPI staff will provide each member utility with a planned timeline for implementing CSR7, which will go live between Aug. 22 and the end of the month.
