WPPI Energy Annual Meeting

September 18-20, 2024 • Glacier Canyon Lodge at The Wilderness • 45 Hillman Rd, Wisconsin Dells, WI 53965

Public power employees are dedicated to the success of not only their local utility, but, at a higher level, the communities they serve. When it comes to fostering strong economies, advancing important local causes and implementing the kinds of forward-looking initiatives that make their communities great places, it is the people behind these public power utilities who help make it all happen.

It is these same public power leaders who have built WPPI into the organization it is today. Our fall annual meeting will be a gathering of all the people who are working together through joint action to help make their communities thrive.

This year, we’re going to try a new format…a Red, White and Blue Scramble!

What is it? This format refers to the colors of the tee markers. Traditionally, golf courses had three teeing grounds noted by color:

  • Forward tees (what used to be called “ladies tees”) are red
  • Middle tees (what used to be called “men’s tees”) are white
  • Back tees (what used to be called “championship tees”) are blue

So red, white and blue equals forward, middle and back.

How do you play? All teams begin the first hole of the tournament from the middle tees (white). If the teams pars, it tees off from the middle tee (white) on the next hole. A team bogey moves up to the forward tees (red). A team birdie moves back to the rear tees (blue). This repeats each hole.

How will teams be determined this year?

  • Individuals can identify one person as a partner (if desired).
  • Foursomes will be arranged otherwise in order to mix and match players with varying skill levels.

Golfers of all skill levels are welcome! We will announce foursomes a week in advance.
