As WPPI Energy marks its 45^th anniversary, we do so with deep appreciation for all our member communities have built together. It is a legacy rooted in dedication that continues to evolve and strengthen with every passing year.

While much has changed since WPPI’s founding in 1980, our purpose of helping our member utilities deliver affordable, reliable, responsible energy—now and for the long term—has not.

This is the power of local ownership. This is the strength of joint action.

Tuesday, Sept. 16

 

9:30 a.m.   8th Annual Public Power Open
Come enjoy a nice day on the links with colleagues and friends!

This 18-hole, scramble-style event will take place at the beautiful Mid Vallee in De Pere, Wis. Shot-gun start is at 9:30 a.m. Cost is $54 with lunch provided. This year, we’re again using the format of the Red, White and Blue Scramble. midvallee.com

 

2:30 p.m.  Tours of Lambeau Field
Attendees not golfing have the opportunity to go on a one-hour tour of the historic Lambeau Field. Two timeslots are available: 2:30 p.m. & 2:45 p.m.

 

 

 

4 p.m.           Oneida Casino Hotel check-in available

5 p.m.           Welcome Reception 

Gather for refreshments between 5 p.m. and 8 p.m. at the Oneida Casino Hotel. Dinner will be available from 6 p.m. – 7 p.m.

3:15 p.m.        Tours of Lambeau Field available every 15 minutes until 4:15 p.m. Each tour lasts one hour. Please indicate your interest in a tour on the registration form.

We will mark the occasion of WPPI’s 45th Anniversary together with a celebration looking back on what we’ve accomplished through joint action. 

7:00 p.m. Guest Speaker John Kuhn

We are pleased to host Packers legend John Kuhn for a moderated Q&A conversation to cap off the evening.

Kuhn was a 12-year veteran of the National Football League playing for Green Bay, Pittsburgh and New Orleans. During his nine seasons with the Green and Gold, he was a key member of teams that won Super Bowl XLV and five division titles, finished with 10-plus wins seven times and made the playoffs eight times. Kuhn retired in 2019 and is currently a sports analyst for the team. There will be time afterward for photographs. Please, no autographs.

Ms. Wescott will discuss the growing intensity of extreme weather events and provide an in-depth look at the potential impacts on national infrastructure and public safety. Ms. Wescott blends her expertise in meteorology, cybersecurity and artificial intelligence to address some of the most pressing challenges of our time.
