Members can print and send their bills in an efficient, professional and integrated system through the Bill Printing & Integrated Message Service. The services is performed by an outsourcing partner, InfoSend, Inc. who will print, deliver, and archive utility retail bills.

The system also allows for custom messaging which is coordinated by WPPI staff. One of the most cost-effective ways for electric utilities to effectively communicate with retail customers is through the billing process.  Professionally formatted, color highlighted billing statements with key usage and comparison information clearly displayed in easy-to-understand graphical formats are highly effective. Not only does it help customers reduce their energy consumption, it increases customer satisfaction and enhances the utility brand.

 

MyAccount

Members engage with customers online through MyAccount, the customer portal. The customer-facing portal with self-service tools and the ability for program engagements. Benefits include integrated online bill pay, online interaction with customers,  “push” notifications to customers. This tool may also be used for behavioral energy efficiency initiatives, rate comparisons, demand response communications and more.

NorthStar

Member utilities using the NorthStar billing system have access to a sophisticated customer information system that allows for complex billing of a variety of municipal services.

Ensure your utility is maximizing the capabilities of the NorthStar system by diving deep into a Utilization Review facilitated by WPPI staff. The review includes an intensive look at the business practices of the utility and examines whether the NorthStar system is implemented and used to its full capabilities. The process involves all members in a utility office and produces findings and steps that can be taken to improve efficiency.
