CSR7 Rollout: What’s changing and what’s next

We’re sharing an important update about the timeline for CSR7, the new customer service module within NorthStar.

What’s changing?

Originally, all utility participants were expected to transition to CSR7 by the end of August. Based on recent testing and early adopter feedback, we’re hitting pause on that plan. For now, only the four early adopter members – Waupun, Oconto Falls, Cedarburg, and Stoughton – will continue with their transitions.

Why the pause?

Our early adopters flagged areas where the latest release of CSR7 doesn’t yet support key improvements as efficiently or accurately as needed. Pushing forward now could make it difficult for users to get accurate data. So, we’re taking time to get it right with continued testing, refinement, and collaboration with NorthStar.

What can you do now?

  • Keep using the CSR7 sandbox to explore the system and confirm staff access.
  • Complete your scheduled onboarding meeting with the Business Solutions team.
  • Watch for updates. We’ll announce new migration dates once we’re satisfied with the module’s readiness.

What about training?

The drop-in training webinars originally planned for August are being rescheduled to a time closer to your actual transition. This way, the training will be fresher and easier to apply when you go live.

We know delays can be frustrating, but this pause gives us time to make sure CSR7 works the way you and your team need it to. We’re grateful to the early adopters for helping move the system forward, and we appreciate your continued patience and engagement.
