WPPI Energy is seeking an experienced marketing professional to advise and assist locally owned, not-for-profit electric utilities with purpose-driven branding strategies and compelling energy program promotions. In this role you’ll spearhead the delivery of outreach tools—from social media content to publications, special events and more—that build positive perceptions about community-owned utilities and foster meaningful engagement with their local customers.

Responsibilities

  • Provide timely marketing support and direction to WPPI Energy colleagues and member utilities.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with member utilities and their employees.
  • Apply market research insights to deliver focused, effective messages that advance WPPI member utilities’ business objectives.
  • Work directly with member utilities, members of the media, printers, copywriters, website consultants and other vendors to implement marketing strategies.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, business, communications, or a related field.
  • At least five years of relevant work experience or an equivalent combination of education and related experience.
  • Experience in utility program marketing is preferred but not required.

Starting Salary

  • $72,000 – $86,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications.
