Desktop Support Analyst I  Sun Prairie, WI


WPPI Energy is seeking a Desktop Support Analyst I to provide desktop support and end‐user application support.  The ideal candidate will have an associate’s degree related to Information Technology and/or equivalent experience. They will also have an excitement to learn and build experience in this entry‐level position.  Communication and teamwork are vital.  This position is part of a team and interacts with system administrators and network engineers.  The team works together to provide excellent service to end users and maintain a reliable and well performing system.  The team also provides an array of applications in order to allow the business to achieve its strategic objectives.  This is an excellent opportunity to join an exciting team and use your skills in a versatile role using a wide spectrum of technologies and tools. 

What you will do in this role:

  • Provide first line support via telephone, e‐mail, or in‐person to internal and external users.
  • Provide workstation and laptop support to users of WPPI Energy’s internal and external supported networks.
  • Administer active directory and email groups
  • Research and provide network and equipment cost proposals to member utilities requesting information for new purchases.
  • Provide technical assistance for printers, scanners, and copiers

Skills we are looking for:

  • A degree in computer systems, business information systems or related field.
  • Strong knowledge of personal computers, Windows operating system and Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to effectively communicate and interact with end users with a positive and cheerful attitude.  
  • Ability to follow up on support requests and prioritize tasks to get the most important ones done first.

Metering and Billing Representative  Sun Prairie, WI


WPPI Energy is seeking a customer-focused, technical professional to serve our member utilities and their customers. As a Metering and Billing Representative at WPPI Energy you will solve meaningful, complex problems in utility billing. As part of the Business and Technology Solutions team, you will directly impact the way customer-owned utilities care for their customers.

Responsibilities

  • With the help of our training, you will learn how to efficiently utilize customer care, metering, and billing software to meet the challenges faced by utilities.
  • You'll learn the details of how and why the software works the way it does and use this knowledge to solve complex problems and determine the best solutions.
  • You will be responsible for the continued success of several utilities, guiding them and making recommendations to meet their goals, ensuring that they realize the full potential of the software.
  • You will build relationships with utilities during calls and onsite trips. Utilities will rely on you as their technical expert, improving efficiency for utilities and service to customers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, MIS/CIS, Economics or other related field is preferred. Candidates with Certifications and/or Associate’s Degrees in addition to equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude
  • Customer service oriented
  • This position is located out of our Sun Prairie, WI office and relocation to the Greater Madison area is required.
  • Ability to travel as-needed; periodic in-state and regional travel is required. This includes day trips as well as occasional overnight trips.
