Business Solutions Analyst   Sun Prairie, WI

WPPI Energy is seeking a customer-focused, business-oriented professional to serve our member utilities and their customers. As a member of the Business Solutions – Support and Training team at WPPI Energy, you will solve meaningful, complex problems in utility billing and financial solutions as well as directly impact the way customer-owned utilities care for their customers.

Responsibilities:

  • With the help of our training, you will learn how to efficiently utilize customer care, metering, billing and financial software to meet the challenges faced by utilities.
  • You'll learn the details of how and why the software works the way it does and use this knowledge to solve complex problems and determine the best solutions.
  • You will be responsible for the continued success of several utilities, guiding them and making recommendations to meet their goals, ensuring that they realize the full potential of the software.
  • You will build relationships with utilities during calls and onsite trips. Utilities will rely on you as their technical expert, improving efficiency for utilities and service to customers.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Information Systems, Economics or other related field is preferred. Candidates with Certifications and/or Associate’s Degrees in addition to equivalent experience will be considered.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and strong communication skills.
  • Technical aptitude
  • Customer service oriented
  • This position is located out of our Sun Prairie, WI office and relocation to the Greater Madison area is required.
  • Ability to travel as-needed; periodic in-state and regional travel is required. This includes day trips as well as occasional overnight trips.

Are you an engineer with power generation experience who is looking to apply your abilities to a wide range of challenges?  Would you welcome the opportunity to be involved in all aspects of the operation and maintenance of a fleet of power generating facilities?  If so, WPPI Energy is seeking an individual like you to keep our generating facilities operating safely, efficiently and economically.

As a member of small team responsible for a diverse set of power generating facilities, you will apply your technical and problem‐solving abilities to:

  • Provide ongoing analysis of power generating facilities to keep costs down, availability high and operational risks low.
  • Assist in the engineering, management, estimating, and oversight of generating facility maintenance and improvement projects.
  • Assist in the planning, scheduling, cost estimating, and direction of generating facility outages.
  • Provide engineering support for the planning, scheduling, analysis, development and implementation of potential new generation projects.

Qualified candidates will preferably have:

  • A four-year degree in engineering.
  • Prior technical experience in the power industry.
  • Experience with gas turbine generating facilities.
  • Wisconsin certification as an Engineer in Training or Professional Engineer is a plus.
